Removing the System Board 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove the: a. SD card b. base cover c. battery d. memory e. hard-drive assembly f. keyboard trim g. keyboard h. palmrest i. display-hinge brackets j. display assembly k. system fan 3. Disconnect the following cables from the system board: a. power-connector [1] b. speaker [2] c. coin-cell battery [3] 4. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis [1] and push the system board to release from its place. 38
