spanning-tree hello-time The spanning-tree hello-time Global Configuration mode command configures the spanning-tree bridge hello time, which is how often the Ethernet Switch Module broadcasts hello messages to other Ethernet Switch Modules.To reset the default hello time, use the no form of this command. Syntax spanning-tree hello-time seconds no spanning-tree hello-time • seconds - Time in seconds. (Range: 1 - 10) Default Configuration The default hello time for IEEE Spanning-Tree Protocol (STP) is 2 seconds.
