Bending the pins can permanently damage the system board. 11 Lift the processor out of the socket and leave the release lever up so that the socket is ready for the new processor. If you are permanently removing the processor, you must install a processor blank and a heat-sink blank in the CPU2 socket to ensure proper system cooling. 6 For a SCSI tape backup unit, disconnect the power and signal cables from the back of the unit.	110
7 Install the slide rails or the tray to the flex-bay blank.	110

3 Slide the storage controller’s card edge connector into the card slot on the riser until the card is fully seated. See Figure 3-20.	113

5 For a battery-cached PERC controller, install the RAID battery. See \	113
