Then continue with step 7. 1 release tab 2 card retention door 3 alignment bar alignment guide 4 NOTE: For extra security, remove the alignment guide (an upside-down screw) and screw it in right side up to secure a card. 5 filler bracket NOTICE: Ensure that you release the securing tab to unseat the card. If the card is not removed correctly, the system board may be damaged. 6. If you are replacing a card that is already installed in the computer, remove the card: a. If necessary, disconnect any cables connected to the card. b. If the card is full-length, press the release tab on the end of the alignment guides on the fan case. c. If the connector has a release tab, press the release tab as you grasp the card by its top corners, and ease it out of its connector.
