the proper direction, as indicated
by the polarity marks in the
battery compartment.
• The set’s remote control sensor
is exposed to strong light (direct
sunlight, inverter type fluorescent
bulb light, etc.).
• The remote ID of the TU-604CI
and remote control unit do not
match.
• Replace with new batteries.
• Operate within the specified
range.
• Remove the obstacle.

• Connect the leads properly.
• Point the antenna in the right
direction.
• Install an outdoor antenna.
8
Hissing or buzzing
sound is heard on
AM broadcasts.
• Noise from a TV or interference
in the signals sent from the

• Turn off the TV.
• Change the position of the loop
antenna.
• Install an outdoor antenna.
8
Booming sound
(humming) is
heard in AM
broadcasts.
• Signals transmitted over the
power cord are modulated by the
power source frequency.
• Insert the plug in the opposite
direction. (
Europe model)
• Install an outdoor antenna.
8, 12
I can not get any
sound.
• Power connected amplifier not
turned on
.
• Connection leads to amplifier not
made correctly.
7
“Station not
Available” is
displayed in DAB.
• Ensure that DAB coverage exists
in your area.
• Check
that
antenna

services are available, this will
increase as more DAB stations
start broadcasting.
• If a secondary service station is
available, the secondary indicator
” will be displayed.
4
I hear a burbling
sound on some
stations.
• Digital media is good at producing
quality audio from a low level
signal, however if this signal,
level is too low a “burbling”
sound can sometimes be heard.
• To reduce this try repositioning
your antenna to gain maximum
signal
strength,
alternatively
available to the tuners.
8, 9
“CHECK XM
TUNER” is
displayed in the
XM mode.
• The
XM
Mini-Tuner
is
not
installed or not fully seated in the
XM Mini-Tuner Dock or the XM
Mini-Tuner dock is not connected
to the TU-604CI.
• Confirm the XM Mini-Tuner is
fully seated in the dock and check
the XM Mini-Tuner dock cable is
connected to the TU-604CI.
9
“CHECK
ANTENNA” is
displayed in the
XM mode.
• The XM antenna is not connected
to the XM Mini-Tuner Dock or the
XM antenna cable is damaged.
• Check that the XM antenna
is securely connected to the
XM Mini-Tuner Dock and check
the antenna cable for damage.
Replace the XM antenna if the
cable is damaged.
9
“LOADING” is
displayed in the
XM mode.
• The XM Mini-Tuner is acquiring
audio or program information
from the XM satellite signal. This
message can also occur in weak
XM signal conditions. (Note that
the TU-604CI may not respond to
some buttons for XM while this
message is displayed.)
• This message should disappear
in a few seconds in good signal
conditions.
If
you
see
