OPERATING PROCEDURES Read all of this manual to become thoroughly familiar with this vehicle. Pay particular attention to all Notices, Cautions, Warnings, and Dangers. EXCEED HYBRID UNIT by E-Z-GO The Exceed Hybrid unit is a fully integrated supplemental power source. Get up to 150 miles on a single charge and benefit from the convenience of an on-board generator and 120 volt, three prong power outlet. It has sufficient power output to maintain or even recharge the batteries while you are driving, if your average speed is below about 16 MPH and your vehicle is lightly loaded. If the vehicle is driven at faster speeds, it will not be able to maintain the state of charge. Essentially, it will be using power from the Exceed generator and battery pack. Because a significant portion of power to drive the car will still be coming from Exceed generator, it will substantially increase the range from what it would be if you were to operate the vehicle just off of the batteries. NOTICE The Exceed system will only recharge the batteries to about 80% state of charge. It will not top off the batteries as the standard charger does. It is designed this way to prevent boiling of the electrolyte and causing battery damage. Therefore, it is important that the vehicle be recharged on a regular basis with the regular charger. BEFORE INITIAL USE Read and follow the safety label on the instrument panel. Be sure you understand how to operate the vehicle and its equipment as well as how to use it safely. Maintaining good performance depends to a large extent on the operator. 1. Before starting on your travel, check fuel tank cap (gauge) for amount of fuel available. 2. Refill if needed, aviod spilling of gasoline. 3. Check oil level as shown. 4. Remove dipstick and wipe with a clean cloth. Insert and tighten dipstick. 5. Remove dipstick and check the oil level. It should be at the top of the full indi- cator on the dipstick. Owner's Guide Page 15

EXCEED HYBRID UNIT by E-Z-GO
The Exceed Hybrid unit is a fully integrated supplemental power source. Get up to 150 miles on a single charge and benefit
from the convenience of an on-board generator and 120 volt, three prong power outlet. It has sufficient power output to
maintain or even recharge the batteries while you are driving, if your average speed is below about 16 MPH and your vehi-
