When the battery is low, the pen light flashes as you turn on the switch. When the battery runs out, the pen light goes out. Caution: Use only the type of batteries specified in this manual. 1. Open the battery cover as shown. 2. Remove the old battery. Warning: If the battery fluid has leaked, wipe it away with a soft cloth and avoid getting the fluid on your hands. If it gets on your hands, wash them immediately to avoid injury. 3. Insert the battery with the + and - ends facing as shown. 274
