Setting the DIP Switches International character sets The DIP switch functions Slashed zeros When DIP switch 1-2 is ON, the printer prints slashed zeros(ø); when OFF, the printer prints open zeros (0). This feature is useful for clearly distinguishing between uppercase 0 and zero when printing documents such as program lists. Draft printing speed When DIP switch 1-5 is OFF, the printer can print up to 200 draft characters per second; when ON, the printer can print up to 150 characters per second. The high speed setting is effective only when printing at 10 cpi (characters per inch). When printing at a different pitch, this switch is ignored and the printer prints up to 150 characters per second. Auto line feed When auto line feed is ON (DIP switch 2-4 ON), each carriage return code (CR) is automatically followed by a line feed code (LF)* 3-8 Using the Printer
