TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM OVEN Condensation around oven (eg on control panel or top of oven door). Condensation building up in the oven while cooking on Maxi Broil. Steam coming from oven vents at the back of the range. Uneven baking. COOKTOP The cooktop cannot be turned on. The control dials are unresponsive. POSSIBLE CAUSES WHAT TO DO Food has high moisture content or local climate (temperature, humidity) is contributing to condensation. Food in your oven releasing moisture as it cooks. Moisture from food evaporating during cooking. Oven not properly preheated. Condensation is normal. You can wipe the drops off the control panel. If there is frequent or excessive condensation, make sure that cabinetry around the range is moisture-proofed. Allow the broil element to preheat for 5 minutes before placing food in the oven or try cooking on Aero Broil instead. This is normal, especially if you are cooking large quantities of food in the oven using the Aero Bake function. Wait until the halo around the temperature knob has changed from white to red before putting food in. Unsuitable or incorrectly arranged bakeware. See 'Oven cooking guidelines' for advice. No power. The controls are locked. Make sure the cooktop is connected to the power supply and that it is switched on at the wall. Check whether there is a power outage in your home or area. If you've checked everything and the problem persists, call your Fisher & Paykel trained and supported service technician or Customer Care. Unlock the controls. See section 'Using your induction cooktop' for instructions. 70
