438-II Users Manual Motor Analyzer Parameters The MOTOR ANALYZER screen shows the important mechanical and electrical parameters relative to their rated values, industry standards, or the NEMA MG 1-2014 standard. A separate screen is available for the Mechanical Parameters and one for the Electrical Parameters. To open the screen: 1. Go to the MOTOR SETUP screen. 2. Press (START). 3. Use to move between the screens for electrical and mechanical parameters. Mechanical Parameters The Mechanical Parameters screen shows power, torque, and speed at a glance. This screen also shows the efficiency (ratio between electrical power supplied and mechanical power delivered) in %. A colored bar graph indicates the performance of the motor compared to its rating. The actual value for each parameter shows in the appropriate unit, its relative value in % of rated value or standard, and a bar graph that shows the system performance as: • good (green) • adequate (yellow) • poor (orange) • bad (red) Use to move between the screens for electrical and mechanical parameters. The limit values where the bar graph turns from orange to red are set to NEMA and industry standards. To view these limits, press to open the ANALYZER LIMITS menu. Note The default setting for efficiency is not to show a good or bad indication because the motor can operate only at its rated efficiency at nominal load. For expert use, you can customize the limits. See Set Analyzer Limits on page 7. 8
