Copyright (C) 2012 American Megatrends, Inc. ► SATA Mode This item is used to set the operation mode of your SATA ports. [IDE Mode] - This configures the SATA ports to support IDE mode. [AHCI Mode] - The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) specification describes the register level interface for a Host Controller for Serial ATA. The specification includes a description of the hardware/software interface between system software and the host controller hardware. AHCI provides more advanced features including SATA features, but some SATA drives may not support AHCI, unless they are labeled with AHCI support in its specification. If your motherboard supporting AHCI, and you have a SATA device, which also supports AHCI, then 16 BIOS SETUP you can select IDE option to have fair performance, or you can select AHCI to get its best performance. AHCI mode is not available under Windows XP, please select IDE mode. ► Deep Sleep Support This item is used to enable or disable Deep Sleep Support function. When entering deep sleep mode system(S4/S5) only can wake up from power button. ► USB 2.0 Port S3 Wakeup This item is used to enable/disable the USB 2.0 device(s) to generate a wake up from S3 state. ► LAN / USB 3.0 Port S3 Wakeup This item is used to enable/disable the LAN/USB 3.0 device(s) to generate a wake up from S3 state. ► Restore on AC Power Loss This item is used to set which state the PC will take with when it resumes after an AC power loss. ► Supporting C6 Power state This item is used to enable or disable the supporting C6 power state. ► Integrated GPU UMA Frame Buffer Allocates system memory for use as video memory to ensure the most efficient use of available resources for maximum 2D/3D graphics performance. This is a memory allocation method addition to the Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) concept, wherein a static amount of page-locked graphics memory is allocated during driver initialization. This fixed amount of memory will provide the user with a guaranteed graphics memory at all times, and will no longer be available to the OS. 17
