Using Bluetooth Wireless Technology Hands-free Features Using Your Phone Book Each time your mobile phone pairs with the StreetPilot 2820, the phone book is automatically loaded into the StreetPilot. This way, each change you make to your mobile phone's phone book is reflected the next time you use it with your StreetPilot. Note: After your phone connects to the StreetPilot 2820, it may take a few minutes for the phone book to be available. ➊ ➋ From the Menu page, touch To call an entry, touch the Phone > Phonebook. phone book entry. Placing Calls Using Voice Dial If your mobile phone supports it, you can place calls by speaking the contact's name. To make a call using Voice Dial: 1. From the Menu page, touch Phone. 2. Touch Voice Dial. 3. Speak the contact you want to call. Note: You may need to "train" your mobile phone to recognize voice commands. If so, the 2820 will walk you through the process. Refer to the phone's owner's manual also. TIP: To search for a specific phone book entry, touch Spell and enter part of the name. Then touch Done to see the matched results. Dialing Numbers 1. From the Menu page, touch Phone. 2. Touch Dial Number. 3. Enter the number, and touch Dial. 34 Using the External Microphone If you choose not to use a headset for phone calls, you can use the external microphone included with your StreetPilot 2820. To install the external microphone: 1. Plug the microphone into the jack on the StreetPilot 2820. 2. Position the microphone within 24 inches directly in front of the person speaking.
