Getting Started Garmin GHS Series Handset Display The Home screen is the most-viewed screen in the system. It displays all of your current information, such as the current channel, the frequency band, and the channel name. Frequency band-current frequency band: International, Canadian, or USA. Latitude, Longitude, and Time-current latitude, longitude, and time are displayed if the transceiver is connected to a GPS device. If the transceiver is not connected to a GPS device, you can manually enter the position and the time that you entered the position data. Speed Over Ground (SOG)/Course Over Ground (COG)-current SOG or COG is displayed if the transceiver is connected to a GPS device. Soft keys-used to select items. The function of these keys changes depending on what you are doing. System-status icons-see the following table.
