• The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See your electrician for professional advice. CAUTION We recommend using cold, filtered water. We do not recommend the use of de-mineralized or distilled water as this may affect the taste of brewed coffee and how the coffee machine is designed to function. For safety reasons it is recommended you plug the appliance directly into its own electrical outlet on a dedicated circuit separate from other appliances. If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not function properly. Use in conjunction with a power strip or extension cord is not recommended.
