Problem Water won't boil Burners have yellow or yellow-tipped flames Possible Cause The combustion quality of burner flames needs to be determined visually. What To Do Cover pan with a lid. Plug on cooktop is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet. Gas supply not connected or turned on. A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped. Igniter orifice in burner body may be clogged. Burner parts not replaced correctly. Notch in burner head may be clogged. Be sure the knob is in the OFF position. Changing blower speed. Improper air to gas ratio. Notch in burner head may be clogged. Burner has not been used recently. Vent fan set at high speed. See Care and cleaning of the cooktop section. Make sure electrical plug is plugged into a live, properly grounded outlet. See the Installation Instructions section. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
