B. Configuring SATA controller mode in BIOS Setup Make sure to configure the SATA controller mode correctly in system BIOS Setup. Step 1: Turn on your computer and press to enter BIOS Setup during the POST (Power-On Self-Test). Under Integrated Peripherals, ensure NV Serial-ATA Controller is enabled (Figure 1). Then, go to the SATA-II RAID Config submenu (Figure 2). Then, enable RAID functionality for the SATA connectors with hard drives that you want to use for RAID. For example, SATA-II Pri-Master RAID is for the SATAII0 connector and SATA-II PriSlave RAID for the SATAII1 connector. (Figure 2).
