_F _0 F 7) M2F_20G (M.2 Socket 3 Connector) The M.2 connector supports an M.2 SATA SSD or an M.2 PCIe SSD. It can support SATA RAID configuration through the AMD South Bridge. Please note that an M.2 PCIe SSD cannot be used to create a RAID set with SATA hard drives. Refer to Chapter 3, "Configuring a RAID Set," for instructions on configuring a RAID array. 80F 60F 42F Follow the steps below to correctly install an M.2 SSD in the M.2 connector. Step 1: Use a screw driver to unfasten the screw and nut from the motherboard. Locate the proper mounting hole for the M.2 SSD to be installed and then screw the nut first. Step 2: Slide the M.2 SSD into the connector at an angle. Step 3: Press the M.2 SSD down and then secure it with the screw. Select the proper hole for the M.2 SSD to be installed and refasten the screw and nut. When installing different types of M.2 SSDs (including SATA, PCIe x4 , and PCIe x2 SSDs), be sure to refer to the supported configurations in the tables below. •• AHCI/RAID mode: Connector Type of SSD SATA3_0 SATA3_1 SATA3_2 SATA3_3 SATA3_4 SATA3_5 M.2 SATA SSD a a a a a r M.2 PCIe x2 SSD (Note) a a a a a a M.2 PCIe x4 SSD (Note) a a a a a a No M.2 SSDs a a a a a a Installed a: Supported, r: Not supported. M2F_20G (M.2 Socket 3 Connector)
The M.2 connector supports an M.2 SATASSD or an M.2 PCIe SSD. It can support SATARAID configuration
through the AMD South Bridge. Please note that an M.2 PCIe SSD cannot be used to create a RAID set
with SATA hard drives. Refer to Chapter 3, "Configuring a RAID Set," for instructions on configuring a
RAID array.
Follow the steps below to correctly install an M.2 SSD in the M.2 connector.
Step 1:
Use a screw driver to unfasten the screw and nut from the motherboard. Locate the proper mounting hole
for the M.2 SSD to be installed and then screw the nut first.
Step 2:
Slide the M.2 SSD into the connector at an angle.
Step 3:
Press the M.2 SSD down and then secure it with the screw.
