Steamed Shrimp with Vegetables 1/2 pound (225 g) large frozen shrimp 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar snap peas 1/2 to 1 cup (125 to 250 ml) red bell pepper, sliced 1/2 to 3/4 cup (125 to 175 ml) onion, sliced 3/4 cup (175 ml) chopped pineapple (in juice) 3/4 to 1 cup (175 to 250 ml) teriyaki sauce (or other desired sauce) White rice (uncooked) Place desired amount of white rice into cooking pot. Fill cooking pot with water to corresponding water line. Set Simplicity Cooker: White Rice While rice is cooking, chop vegetables and thaw shrimp under cold running water. After approximately 30-35 minutes, place shrimp and vegetables into steamer basket and place basket into cooker. Cook approximately 8 minutes or until shrimp are opaque and veggies slightly tender. When cooking cycle is completed, toss shrimp, vegetables, pineapple, and rice with teriyaki sauce and serve. Servings: 4 Macaroni and Cheese 3 cups (750 ml) uncooked elbow macaroni 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) low-sodium chicken broth 1 cup (250 ml) half-and-half (regular half-and-half) 1/3 cup (80 ml) milk (any kind-whole, skim, etc.) 2 cups (500 ml) shredded cheddar cheese 1/8 teaspoon (0.65 ml) black pepper 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt 1/8 teaspoon (0.65 ml) cayenne pepper Place all ingredients into the cooking pot and stir lightly to combine using a nonstick spoon (not metal since it will scratch the cooking pot). Set Simplicity Cooker: Boil/Simmer: 7 minutes NOTE: Once the unit switches to Warm, let mixture sit for approximately 10 minutes; then stir and let sit for another 5-10 minutes. The liquid will continue to absorb. Servings: 6-8 14

Steamed Shrimp with Vegetables
1/2 pound (225 g) large frozen shrimp
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar snap peas
1/2 to 1 cup (125 to 250 ml) red bell pepper, sliced

Place desired amount of white rice into cooking pot. Fill cooking pot
with water to corresponding water line.
Set Simplicity Cooker:

1/8 teaspoon (0.65 ml) cayenne pepper
Place all ingredients into the cooking pot and stir lightly to combine
using a nonstick spoon (not metal since it will scratch the cooking pot).
