Connecting power 1 Plug the AC power cord into the printer and into the power outlet. 2 Turn the printer on. Installing the print cartridges 1 Open the top cover. Grasp the green handle on the transfer unit and pull down. The front cover will open as you pull down the transfer unit. CAUTION Do not place anything on the transfer unit while it is open. If the transfer unit is punctured, print quality problems may result. 2 Grasp both sides of the cartridge and distribute the toner by gently rocking the cartridge from side to side.
