Software application problems Unable to change system selections through software Cause System software changes are locked out by the printer control panel. The software application does not support system changes. The correct printer driver is not loaded. Solution Consult with your network administrator. See the software application documentation. Load the correct application driver. Unable to select a font from the software Cause The font is not available to the software application. Solution See the software application documentation. Unable to select colors from the software Cause The software application does not support color. Color mode is not selected in the software application or printer driver. The correct printer driver is not loaded. Solution See the documentation for the software application. Select color mode instead of grayscale or monochrome mode. Load the correct printer driver. Printer driver does not recognize Tray 3, Tray 4, or the duplex printing accessory Cause Solution The printer driver has not been configured to recognize Tray 3, Tray 4, or the duplex printing accessory. For more information about how to access the printer drivers, see Accessing the printer drivers. See the printer driver's online Help for instructions on how to configure the driver to recognize printer accessories.
