Step 15. Verify printer setup The easiest way to verify that the installation has been completed successfully is to print a document from a software program. To verify printer setup 1 Open a program of your choice. Open or create a simple document. 2 In the program, select the Print command. 3 Select the HP LaserJet 9040 or 9050 as your printer. 4 Make sure the correct printer name appears. 5 Print the document.
