DOS programs and games are not supported by your Windows modem. Recommended Action Check the cables. Connect a handset and check you have a standard dial tone. Install the modem directly to a phone line coming from the telephone operator. By doing this, you will also benefit from having the maximum speed. 1 Click Start, Settings, then single-click Control Panel. 2 Double-click the Modems icon. 3 Single-click Diagnostics Properties. 4 Enter the required options.
