Check the following: • Is AC power available at the wall outlet? • Is the system power cord properly connected to the system and the wall outlet? • Did you press the power button? • Is the power on light lit? • Have any of the fan motors stopped (use the server management subsystem to check the fan status)? • Are the fan power connectors properly connected to the server board? • Is the cable from the front panel board connected to the server board? • Are the power supply cables properly connected to the server board? • Are there any shorted wires caused by pinched cables, or power connector plugs forced into power connector sockets the wrong way? If the switches and connections are correct and AC power is available at the wall outlet, contact your service representative for help. Hard Disk Drive Activity Light Does Not Light The hard disk drive activity light is not connected to the cc2300 Carrier Grade Server server board. CD-ROM Drive Activity Light Does Not Light Check the following: • Are the power and signal cables to the CD-ROM drive properly installed? • Are all relevant switches and jumpers on the drive set correctly? • Is the drive properly configured? • Is the onboard IDE controller enabled? Cannot Connect to a Server • Make sure you are using the drivers that are shipped on the system Configuration Software CD for the onboard network controller. • Make sure the driver is loaded and the protocols are bound. • Make sure the network cable is securely attached to the connector at the system back panel. If the cable is attached but the problem persists, try a different cable. • Make sure the hub port is configured for the same duplex mode as the network controller. • Check with your LAN administrator about the correct networking software that needs to be installed. • If you are directly connecting two servers (no hub), you will need a crossover cable (see your hub documentation for more information on crossover cables). The hard disk drive activity light is not connected to the cc2300 Carrier Grade Server server board.
CD-ROM Drive Activity Light Does Not Light
