English Installing the IrDA Support Software In Windows 95 If your PC/notebook is running Windows 95, use the IrDA support software for Windows 95 which is included with the HP Infrared Adapter. This Microsoft driver enables wireless connectivity between PCs running Windows 95 and peripheral devices. Some PCs/notebooks pre-installed with Windows 95 may already have the driver installed. Check if your system is pre-installed with the IrDA support software. If it is not, do the following: 1. Install the IrDA support software. Click on the Start button. Select Settings and click on Control Panel. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs. Click on Install... Follow the instructions that appear in the subsequent dialog boxes. Note: • When the Add Infrared Device prompts you to choose the manufacturer's name for the IR device, choose Standard Infrared Devices if the device your PC/notebook uses is not listed. • If you are unsure which COM port the IR device is attached to, select the first COM port on the list. • 3 •

Installing the IrDA Support Software
In Windows 95
If your PC/notebook is running Windows 95, use the
IrDA support software for Windows 95 which is
included with the HP Infrared Adapter. This Microsoft
driver enables wireless connectivity between PCs
running Windows 95 and peripheral devices. Some
PCs/notebooks pre-installed with Windows 95 may
already have the driver installed. Check if your system is
pre-installed with the IrDA support software. If it is not,
do the following:

Install the IrDA support software.
Click on the
Start
button. Select
Settings
and click on

. Double-click on

Click on
Install...
Follow the instructions that appear

Note:
When the
Add Infrared Device
prompts you to
