Reverse this procedure to install the touch screen board. Antennas Description Antennas Spare part number 783091-001 Before removing the antennas, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Disconnect the tablet from the keyboard base (see Connecting the tablet to the keyboard base on page 28). 5. Remove the rear cover (see Rear cover on page 29). 6. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35). 7. Remove the heat sink (see Heat sink on page 38). Remove the antennas: 1. Lift the left transceiver from the tablet (1). CAUTION: To avoid damaging the antenna cables, do not pull on the cables to loosen them from the tablet. 2. Remove the antenna cable from its routing path on the tablet (2). 3. Lift the right transceiver from the tablet (3). Reverse this procedure to install the antennas. Component replacement procedures 49
