Remove the display panel: 1. Remove the 12 Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the large bracket to the display. 2. Lift the large bracket from atop the display (2). 3. Separate the raw panel from the bezel (3). Reverse this procedure to install the display panel. For service engineers or field service engineers only: Depending on regional repair strategies, the repair of the touch panel for some platforms may require a piece-part service event rather than a whole hinge up replacement. When either the glass or the control board of the touch display panel is replaced during a service event for these platforms, an additional service procedure is required. This procedure comprises updating the computer's firmware to enable it to recognize the new panel as well as testing the new panel to ensure that it is functioning correctly after the firmware update has been completed.
