WARRANTY STATEMENT: To obtain a copy of the warranty for this product, see the warranty information website: http://www.hp.com/go/storagewarranty Before you begin XCS version 11001000 and later supports HP P6350/P6550 EVAs with 2- or 4-GB DIMMs and large capacity batteries. Upgrade kits are available that include batteries, DIMMs, and an ABM. If you are upgrading an HP P6300 to P6350 or an HP P6500 to P6550, HP recommends that you install an upgrade kit. Because you must install the upgrade components in a specific order and off line, follow the procedure in HP P6000 EVA Upgrade Instructions - P6300 to P6350 or P6500 to P6550. There are three battery models. The battery module faceplate identifies the model. • A P6300 or P6500 EVA can use AG637-63601, QK715-63601, or QK717-63601 batteries. • A P6350 EVA can use QK715-63601 or QK717-63601 batteries. • A P6550 EVA can use QK717-63601 batteries only. Observe the following precautions when replacing the battery module. CAUTION: Removing a battery module significantly changes the air flow within the enclosure. Both modules must be installed for the enclosure to cool properly. If a single battery module fails, leave it in place in the enclosure until a new module is available to install. Page 1
