3. In the New Calibration Substrate with automatic OD window that appears, do the following: a. In the Assign Drawer tab, in the Substrate dropdown list, select the known glossy substrate. b. In the Assign drawer for the new calibration substrate dropdown list, select a drawer. c. Continue the wizard until it completes. The calibration that is done by the wizard does the following: a. Solid calibration of the known glossy substrate. b. The SPM measures the solids on the new unknown substrate with the calibrated values from the previous step. c. Sets the OD target for all inks for the unknown substrate. d. Sets the gloss level based on the OD of the black result. e. In the next color calibration of the new unknown substrate: ● The target OD is taken first from the DB that was set earlier. ● If there is no OD target in the DB, the target is taken based on the gloss level set earlier. 4. Perform advanced color calibration on the unknown substrate. 5. Reprint the set of print quality jobs as described in step Verifying print quality on page 2 in Verifying print quality on page 2, and evaluate print quality as described there in step Verifying print quality on page 2. 6 Chapter 2 Procedures
