1 Overview Who can benefit from reading this document? This document is intended for HP Indigo 7600, 7800, 7r and 7900 Digital Presses, for which the HP Indigo ElectroInk Invisible Yellow option has been purchased. Introduction HP Indigo Invisible Yellow ElectroInk is a new ink, invisible to the naked eye, yet visible under UV light. This new ink can be used for many covert applications, such as: ● Brand protection features ● Surprising graphics as promotional features ● Process control features This ink was developed to have high permanence under indoors conditions, to specifically fit brand protection and security printing applications. Prerequisites SIt lists the prerequisites required. ● HP Indigo 7600, 7800, 7r and 7900 Digital Presses. ● Press software version 15.2 i43 or higher. ● BID-P new concept to be used with Invisible Yellow ink. ● Ink station 1, 6 or 7 with small ink can configuration needs to be clean and available. In case you need to swap between LIC to SIC configuration please refer to "Ink Cabinet Service" (CA393-04290). Limitations of the HP Indigo ElectroInk Invisible Yellow It explains the limitations of the HP indigo electroink invisible yellow. ● Visibility (under visible light): - When printed directly on a smooth substrate, it may appear as a gloss difference. This is much reduced with varnishing / lamination. - Visibility (also gloss difference) can be eliminated if printed on top of half-scale areas/images. - Not invisible on clear substrates ("milky" look). - Invisible when printing reverse on clear substrates, with white backing. Limitations of the HP Indigo ElectroInk Invisible Yellow
It explains the limitations of the HP indigo electroink invisible yellow.
Visibility (under visible light):
