Because these temperatures might be significantly higher than the temperatures of the other equipment in the data center, to not over-cool the air, you might have to adjust the set-points of the CRACs or CRAHs higher. Most standalone CRACs and CRAHs use return side temperature regulation rather than supply side. Since the supply side air temperature is the parameter of interest to meet the 15-32 °C limits for the proper operation of Superdome2, you might have to increase the return air set-points to maximize the capacity of the CRACs or CRAHs. IMPORTANT: When adjusting the set-point of any CRAC or CRAH, you must be careful so that you do not exceed the actual inlet temperature specified for any equipment. For more information about general site preparation guidelines, see the Generic Site Preparation Guide. Air quality specifications Chemical contaminant levels in customer environments for HP hardware products must not exceed G1 (mild) levels of Group A chemicals at any time, as described in the current version of ISA-71.04 Environmental Conditions for Process Measurement and Control Systems: Airborne Contaminants. See http://www.isa.org/ for more information. For more information about general site preparation guidelines, see the Generic Site Preparation Guide. Acoustic noise specifications The acoustic noise specifications are 8.6 bel (86 dB) (sound power level). IMPORTANT: HP recommends that anyone in the immediate vicinity of the product for extended periods of time wear hearing protection or use other means to reduce noise exposure. This level of noise is appropriate for dedicated computer room environments, not office environments. Environmental specifications 29
