If the printer fails to start up and announce itself as Ready, and the front panel is unresponsive, call your support representative and describe the status of these three LEDs. Power-on issues The printer has three status lights (LEDs) beside the power-cord panel that indicate the start-up status. These LEDs can help the remote support agent to understand potential root causes in case the printer fails to power on. The LEDs are arranged vertically. If the printer fails to power on, and the front panel is blank, call your support representative and describe the status of these three LEDs. Agent troubleshooting 1. Check that the agent is designed for your printer. 2. Use the correct procedure to change agents, through the front panel. 3. Check that there is no obstruction in the agent slot. 4. Check that the agent is of the correct type. 5. Check that the agent is correctly oriented (compare with another agent). 6. Ensure that you have inserted the agent correctly and fully, and that it is latched. You should hear a click. 7. If the problem still remains, call your support representative. Material cartridge troubleshooting 1. Check that the cartridge is designed for your printer. 2. Check that the cartridge contains the correct type of material and that it matches the slot type (fresh or reusable material). 3. Use the correct procedure to change cartridges, through the front panel. 4. Check that you have removed the cartridge cap. 5. Check that there is no obstruction in the cartridge connector in the slot. 6. Check that the cartridge is correctly oriented (compare with another cartridge). The flat side should be facing down when inserting the cartridge into the printer. 7. Ensure that you have inserted the cartridge correctly and fully. You should hear a click. 8.
