Note Card Stock Construction • Smoothness: 36-53 lb (135-199 g/m2) card stock should have a smoothness rating of 100-180 Sheffield. 16-36 lb (60-135 g/m2) card stock should have a smoothness rating of 100-250 Sheffield. • Construction: Card stock should lie flat with less than 0.2 inch (5 millimeters) of curl. • Condition: Make sure card stock is not wrinkled, nicked, or otherwise damaged. • Sizes: Use only card stock within the following size ranges: • minimum: 3 by 5 inches (76 by 127 mm) • maximum: 8.5 by 14 inches (216 by 356 millimeters) Before loading card stock in Tray 1, make sure it is regular in shape and not damaged. Also, make sure the cards are not stuck together. Card Stock Guidelines • If cards curl or jam, try printing from Tray 1 and opening the rear output bin. • Set margins at least 0.08 inch (2 mm) away from the edges of the paper.
