Checking your audio functions To check the system sound on your computer, follow these steps: 1. Select the Devices icon on the MeeGo panel. 2. Click All settings. 3. Click Sound. 4. On the Sound Effects tab, click on a sound under Choose an alert sound. To check the recording functions of the computer, follow these steps: 1. Select the Applications icon on the MeeGo panel. 2. Click Media, and then click Sound Recorder. 3. Click the Record button and begin speaking. 4. To stop recording, click the Stop button. 5. To listen to your recording, click the Play button. NOTE: For best results when recording, speak directly into the microphone and record sound in a setting free of background noise. Webcam Some computers include an integrated webcam, located at the top of the display. With the preinstalled software, you can use the webcam to take a photo or record a video. You can preview and save the photo or video recording. The webcam software enables you to experiment with the following features: ● Capturing and sharing video ● Streaming video with instant message software ● Taking still photos To access the webcam, follow these steps: 1. Click the Applications icon on the MeeGo panel. 2. Click Media. 3. Click Webcam. NOTE: For details about using your webcam, click the Help menu in the webcam software. Video Your computer has an external video port, also called a monitor or VGA port. This port is an analog display interface that connects an external VGA display device, such as an external VGA monitor or a VGA projector, to the computer. Webcam 19

Checking your audio functions
To check the system sound on your computer, follow these steps:
