4. Insert the new battery pack so the metal battery contacts on the pack line up with the contacts in the compartment, then latch the cover. If you replace the battery within 1 minute, your current work session will be saved. (Saved files and data are not affected.) 5. If you have changed the battery very quickly, you might need to turn off the computer, then press F4+On/Off to turn it on and update the battery status indicator. Caution Do not mutilate, puncture, or dispose of the battery in fire. The battery can burst or explode, releasing hazardous chemicals.
