Print on special media Only use media that is recommended for laser printers. See Supported media sizes on page 23. NOTE: On the HP LaserJet P1006/P1009/P1500 Series, use the priority feed slot for printing one envelope or other special media. Use the main input tray for printing multiple envelopes or other special media. 1. Before loading the media, slide the media guides outward to slightly wider than the media. 2. Place the media in the tray and adjust the media guides to the correct width. Change print driver to match your media size and type When you change the size and type settings to match your media, the device adjusts to optimize your print output. You can change the paper size or type settings on the Paper/Quality tab in the printer Properties or Preferences. See Supported media sizes on page 23. Print Types and tray capacity The printer driver provides a number of print types that the device uses to adapt to various media. NOTE: When using the CARDSTOCK, ENVELOPE, LABEL, HEAVY, BOND, ARCHIVE, A5, A6, B5, EXECUTIVE and ROUGH modes, the device pauses between pages and the number of pages per minute decreases.
