The CMC for SAN/iQ software version 9.0 does not allow users to enter a dot, or period, character in a password. If a password that was created prior to version 9.0 contains a dot, the user will not have access to the management groups on the upgraded system. To resolve this situation, use the storage system Command Line Interface (CLI) to change the password. If you have not yet upgraded to CMC 9.0, use the CMC to change the password before upgrading.
