The CMC for SAN/iQ software version 9.0 does not allow users to enter a dot, or period, character in a password. If a password that was created prior to version 9.0 contains a dot, the user will not have access to the management groups on the upgraded system. To resolve this situation, use the storage system Command Line Interface (CLI) to change the password. If you have not yet upgraded to CMC 9.0, use the CMC to change the password before upgrading. For information about the CLI, see the HP P4000 SAN Solution user guide. HP P4800 and other HP P4000 storage systems HP recommends not mixing HP P4800 G2 storage systems with other HP P4000 series systems in a cluster. The capacity of the smallest system will limit the capacity used on all systems, meaning that the larger capacity of the HP P4800 G2 SAN Solution for BladeSystem will be unused. HP P4800 G2 SAN Solution for BladeSystem storage nodes can coexist in management groups with P4000 series storage nodes that are running SAN/iQ version 9.0 or later.
