WWAN antenna (select models only) The WWAN antennae allow you to connect to a wireless wide-area network (WWAN), and then to the Internet, using the integrated HP Broadband Wireless module and service from a supported cellular network operator. One wireless antenna is located inside the display enclosure (1). Another wireless antenna is external and connects to the external WWAN antenna connector on the computer (2). The external WWAN antenna must be connected when connecting to a WWAN. When connecting to a WWAN, the external WWAN antenna should be positioned upright, as shown in the illustration below. NOTE For optimal transmission, keep the areas immediately around the antennae free from obstructions.
