Front components Component (1) Drive light (2) Speakers (2) (3) Vent Right-side components Description ● White: The hard drive is being accessed. ● Amber: HP 3D DriveGuard has temporarily parked the hard drive. Produce sound. Enables airflow to cool internal components. NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool internal components and prevent overheating. It is normal for the internal fan to cycle on and off during routine operation. Component (1) Digital Media Slot (2) Powered USB port (3) Audio-out (headphone) jack/Audio-in (microphone) jack (4) USB ports (2) (5) Security cable slot Description Supports the following optional digital card formats: ● MultiMediaCard (MMC) ● Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card Provides power to a USB device, such as an optional external optical drive, if used with a powered USB cable. Produces sound when connected to optional powered stereo speakers, headphones, ear buds, a headset, or television audio. Also connects an optional headset microphone. NOTE: When a device is connected to the headphone jack, the computer speakers are disabled. Connect optional USB devices. Attaches an optional security cable to the computer. 6 Chapter 1 Features
