Speakers Description Speakers Spare part number 650400-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 36). 5. Remove the service access cover (see Service access cover on page 38). 6. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 50). 7. Remove the fan (see Fan on page 53). 8. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 55). Remove the speakers: 1. Position the computer right-side up, with the front toward you. 2. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 3. Remove the four Phillips M2.5x2.5 screws (2) that secure the speakers to the base enclosure. 4. Gently lift up on the edge of the system board above the left speaker (3), and then lift the speakers straight up from the base enclosure (4). Reverse this procedure to install the speakers.
