Version: 1.10 Description These release notes discuss issues and their potential workarounds, and important information regarding HP Intelligent Provisioning. HP Intelligent Provisioning is one of the embedded management features of the HP iLO Management Engine, which comes standard on all HP ProLiant Gen8 servers, and offers the ability for out-of-the-box single-server deployment and configuration without the need for media. Intelligent Provisioning provides enhanced server configuration and provisioning assistance, following SmartStart version 8.70. With Intelligent Provisioning, the software is embedded on the server, rather than on a CD. Product models HP Intelligent Provisioning supports HP ProLiant Gen8 servers. HP ProLiant SL and SE servers do not support operating system installations with Intelligent Provisioning. These servers currently support the maintenance features described in the Perform Maintenance Options section of the HP Intelligent Provisioning User Guide and online help. Operating systems and devices Supported operating systems and devices are listed in the support matrix for the server. Any differences and the components supported for each server are listed in the HP Intelligent Provisioning Server Support Guide. NOTE: Intelligent Provisioning does not support all server-supported operating systems, including Windows 2003 and 32-bit Windows operating systems. FTP cannot be used to install Windows 2008 R2 SP1 on a ProLiant Gen8 server with an HP IB FDR/EN 10/40Gb 2P 544QSFP Adapter (Dual IP/IB). This adapter is not a supported device for SPP 2012.06.0. HP Intelligent Provisioning is one of the embedded management features of the HP iLO Management
