5 RBSU configuration flow RBSU configuration flow overview RBSU can be used in two ways to configure a server: • "Manual configuration flow" (page 185) • "Scripted configuration flow" (page 186) Manual configuration flow RBSU can be used to configure an HP server manually. When the server is powered up in an unconfigured state, RBSU executes when the F9 key is pressed, allowing the server to be configured. NOTE: • Manual flow does not apply for servers with an integrated ATA RAID IDE controller. • Manual flow is not necessary for servers with Embedded Server Setup. After the server has been configured using RBSU: 1. Restart or power up the server. 2. Press the F8 key to execute ORCA. 3. After the primary array controller has been configured with ORCA, restart the server. 4. Install the operating system. ("Operating System Installation" (page 194)) 5. 5 RBSU configuration flow
RBSU configuration flow overview
RBSU can be used in two ways to configure a server:
“Manual configuration flow” (page 185)
“Scripted configuration flow” (page 186)
Manual configuration flow
RBSU can be used to configure an HP server manually. When the server is powered up in an
unconfigured state, RBSU executes when the F9 key is pressed, allowing the server to be configured.
NOTE:
Manual flow does not apply for servers with an integrated ATA RAID IDE controller.
Manual flow is not necessary for servers with Embedded Server Setup.
After the server has been configured using RBSU:
1.
Restart or power up the server.
2.
Press the
F8
key to execute ORCA.
3.
After the primary array controller has been configured with ORCA, restart the server.
4.
Install the operating system. (

)
5.
Install any necessary applications.
6.
Use the ACU to configure any remaining array controllers.
