Resetting iLO Use this screen to reboot iLO or to reset iLO to the factory default settings. To reboot iLO, click Reboot. To reset iLO to the factory settings, click Reset. HP Insight Remote Support HP Insight Remote Support provides automatic submission of hardware events to HP to prevent downtime and enable faster issue resolution. Use this screen to register or unregister for Insight RS. When initially configuring Intelligent Provisioning for use, this screen is displayed in "Step 3: Registering for Insight Remote Support" (page 12). About the data collection process As part of the data collection process, iLO sends data to HP Insight RS to enable proactive advice and consulting. This data includes: • Server model • Serial number • Processor model, speed, and utilization • Storage capacity, speed, and utilization • Memory capacity, speed, and utilization • Firmware/BIOS • Installed drivers, services, and applications (if using Agentless Management Service) About the service events process As part of the service events process, iLO sends data to identify the relevant hardware component to the HP Insight RS system. This data includes the server model, serial number, part number of the hardware component, and description. Insight RS requirements The connection between the embedded remote support capability of the HP ProLiant Gen8 server and HP is established via an Insight RS Hosting Device. You must be running Insight RS software version 7.x or later to use the built-in HP ProLiant Gen8 Insight RS capabilities. Insight RS 7.x is designed to monitor up to 500 devices simultaneously. To monitor more than 500 devices with a single instance of Insight RS software, use Insight RS Advanced. Insight RS Advanced does not use the built-in HP ProLiant Gen8 Insight RS capability and requires the installation of Insight Management Agents or Insight Management Providers. Stopping Insight RS If you need to temporarily or permanently stop monitoring an HP ProLiant Gen8 server, you can do so through Intelligent Provisioning or iLO. • To disable Insight RS on this server through Intelligent Provisioning, click Unregister.
