NOTE: IP Addresses of unavailable switches and directors are not fully migrated. d. Click Next. 9. Complete the following on the 7.x Migration window: a. Browse to the HAFM 7.x Data Directory shared drive (for example, c:\HAFData). b. Enter the IP Address of the remote server in the IP Address box. The IP Address defaults to the local machine. c. Enter the user ID and password in the appropriate boxes. A System Administrator login is required. d. Click Next. The HAFM 8.8 Server License dialog box is displayed. 10.Enter your product's serial number and your license key. You are required only to enter a serial number and license key if you are upgrading to HAFM 8.x from HAFM 7.x on the HAFM appliance. See "Product license and feature keys" on page 21 for more information. 11.Click Next. A confirmation screen is displayed. 12.Click Finish. 13.Click OK on the start the server message. A progress message displays. When the migration is complete, the HAFM 8.8 Log In dialog box is displayed. 14.Click Cancel when the HAFM 8.8 Log In dialog box is displayed. 15.Stop HAFM services for HAFM 8.8 using the following steps: a. Click Start > Programs > HP StorageWorks ha-fabric manager 8.8 > Stop Services. A DOS window is displayed with messages of services being shut down. b. Press any key to close the window. Migrating data to HAFM 8.8 1. On the HAFM 8.8 machine, go to directory c:\Program Files\HAFM 8.8\bin and run program LegacyExportImport.bat. Enter the following information: • IP address of the HAFM 7.x machine. If both software applications reside on the same machine, enter 127.0.0.1. • Installation directory of the HAFM 7.x software.
