Issue Description 24591 Sometimes a fan on an ExDS9100cx chassis reports a spurious DEGRADED status. The status is reported in a log message similar to: SGA8320003: array 3: box 2: fan: 2: fan is DEGRADED (was OK). When the status returns to OK, a message such as this is logged: SGA8320003: array 3: box 2: fan: 2: fan is OK (was DEGRADED). Workaround: If the OK message is reported within a few minutes of the DEGRADED message, you can ignore this status as spurious. You only need to replace the fan if the status remains in the DEGRADED state for 15 minutes. 24649 Onboard Administrator firmware update not reflected in a timely manner. When upgrading the SAS switch module management firmware, the upgrade process may fail to complete. If the upgrade process stalls before the Progress Percent reaches 100% for more than five minutes, or if the upgrade process reports a double free error, then the upgrade process might have failed. Workaround: 1. Press Ctrl+Alt+D to disconnect from the interconnect. 2. At the OA prompt enter the restart interconnect command to restart the affected SAS switch management module. 3. Wait at least two minutes for the restart to complete. 4. At the OA prompt enter the connect interconnect command to reconnect to the SAS switch. 5. Repeat the SAS switch module management firmware the upgrade process. Fix: Installing the SAS switch module management firmware version 1.1.8.0 resolves this issue. NOTE: The SAS switch module management firmware startup can be interrupted by keypress during the early boot sequence. Should this accidentally happen, resume the normal boot process by entering the boot command at the => prompt. 24978 Error message displayed when shutting down the ExDS System Shutting down the HP ExDS9100 with the following command: # exdsmgr shutdown server 1-16 could result in the following error message being displayed: sodbConfigStatusRemove: sodbRemove: libsodb.so: mysql_error: 1053 Server shutdown in progress Workaround: This error message can be ignored; the system should still shutdown successfully. Insight Manager Agents (hpasm) not running. Fan, power supply, temperature and DIMM status is not monitored. If the syscheck report contains a message similar to the following: 25188 it indicates that the server environmental monitoring has encountered a problem.
