3. Unzip the StoreOnceVSA ZIP file to the appropriate location for the deployment method. See also StoreOnceVSA files required for deployment (page 9). • If deploying on SEM, unzip the OVF package into the SEM Software Depot folder on the Windows client machine that you will use to deploy HP StoreOnce VSA. The pathname for this folder is:Program Files - Hewlett-Packard - HP StoreOnce Enterprise Manager - config - StoreOnceVSA_OVF • If deploying on vSphere client, the OVF package may be unzipped into any folder accessible on the network. Bear in mind that deployment speed will depend upon network performance, if the OVF package is not on the same machine as the client. NOTE: If using the DVD to deploy StoreOnceVSA software, the StoreOnceVSA ISO image is a file named TC458A.iso. Mount the StoreOnceVSA ISO image as appropriate for your operating environment and copy the files to the appropriate location for the deployment method, as described above. StoreOnceVSA files required for deployment The StoreOnceVSA OVF package contains documentation files as well as the three files required for deployment. The following three files are required to deploy the StoreOnce VSA. • storeoncevsa-tc458-500-.ovf: This is the StoreOnce VSA ovf descriptor file • storeoncevsa-tc458-500--disk1.vmdk: This is the Thin Provisioned virtual disk for the operating system • storeoncevsa-tc458-500-.mf: This is the checksum validation file for the other two files NOTE: At the time of publishing this document, the is 3.7.1-1334.4. So, for example, the StoreOnce VSA OVF file name is storeoncevsa-tc458-500-.ovf. Always refer to the latest release notes for the current version number. Before you start deployment 9
