VT Series Emulations The Status Bar Below the emulation workspace in the TeemTalk window is a status bar that indicates the status of various operations and provides buttons for switching between modes. The information displayed in the status bar depends on the current terminal emulation. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Item 1: This LED indicates whether you are connected to the host. It will appear red when not connected and green when you are connected. Item 2: Item 3: Item 4: This LED indicates whether data is being sent to or from the host. It will appear dull green when there is no activity, red when data is being sent to the host, and bright green when data is being received from the host. This button enables you to switch between Local and Online mode. The label indicates the mode you will switch to when the button is clicked. This button enables you to Pause or Resume scrolling data in the window. The label indicates the action that will be taken when the button is clicked. Item 5: Item 6: Item 7: Indicates the current terminal emulation. Displays the active session and current page number (always 1), and the line,column location of the text cursor. This indicates whether Overstrike mode or Insert mode is currently active. In Overstrike mode (default), new characters will replace already existing characters at the cursor position. When Insert mode is active, new characters will be inserted at the cursor position without deleting existing characters, which will move to the right. 86 The Status Bar
