Setting Up the Monitor Connecting the Monitor To connect the monitor video input to the computer: 1. Place the monitor upright as shown in the following illustration. 2. Connect the video cable from the monitor to the video connector on the rear panel of the computer. ✎ You can connect the VGA cable, the DVI-D cable, or both. Only one cable is connected for typical installations. ❏ Connect one end of the 15-pin VGA cable to the VGA input connector on the monitor. Connecting the Monitor
To connect the monitor video input to the computer:
1. Place the monitor upright as shown in the following illustration.
2. Connect the video cable from the monitor to the video
connector on the rear panel of the computer.
You can connect the VGA cable, the DVI-D cable, or both. Only
one cable is connected for typical installations.
Connect one end of the 15-pin VGA cable to the VGA
input connector on the monitor. Then connect the other
end to the VGA output connector on the computer.
