NOTE System Overview Powering Up Your System 7. Log into your ﬁrst CDE session as root. For information on logging into CDE, see the Common Desktop Environment User's Guide. You must log into the ﬁrst session as root. This is because the system contains no other user accounts. Once you have created user accounts, you should log out as superuser and log back in as one of the other users. 8. Use the System Administration Manager (SAM) to set-up user accounts. Documentation The documentation for your system is located on the "Instant Information" CD. To view this CD, you need to read the special mounting instruction that come with it. Chapter 1 45
