Troubleshooting Troubleshooting (Continued) Problem Projector suddenly shuts down and the power button LED blinks rapidly. Remote control does not operate. Compatibility issues with equipment attached to the projector. Solutions An over-temperature event has been detected. This usually occurs when either the airflow to the unit has been obstructed or a fan has failed. If airflow is obstructed, remove the obstruction, unplug the projector, re-plug the projector, and restart. If a fan has failed or an over-temperature event occurs a second time, have the projector serviced or repaired. 1. Ensure the remote control is within 26.25 feet (8.0 meters) when pointed directly at the sensor or 19.69 feet (6.0 meters) when at a 30 degree angle from the sensor. 2. The battery may need to be replaced. 3. Verify that the batteries are installed properly. Contact your Compaq authorized service provider or call Compaq Customer Support for help.
