2 The Desktop The t5540 and t5550 thin clients with Microsoft Windows CE use an Explorer shell (desktop) that resembles the typical Windows desktop to make it look familiar and easy to use. The desktop includes a taskbar, Start menu, shortcut icons, and a background image.
